Here it is: the final Bad Guys release!

Here at Hominid Sounds we're mad, bad, extremely glad and really sad to bring you this banging rock epitaph.

Having followed these bad boys for the past five years - from their early guerilla gigs, through their single, their two great albums for Riot Season and their recent stadium-bustin' mega shows - it feels like a death in the family to see them split up.

Still, on the plus side, we do get to hear this might album-ette "No More Mr Bad Guy". Salvaged from the sessions for what was intended to be their third album, they've pumped out five heavy, heavy slices with which to beat your brains out. Innit.

From the opening banger "Ekranoplan"‎ to the waster anthem "Weed Money"‎, each of these tracks is standing proud as a monument to Bad Guys, stalwart East London Underground scene-starters. Without them, none of the rest of it would have happened.

Hey! Wipe away those tears, hun. We're hoping to see some future action from the ex-Bad Guys... so keep on the alert!

Never before in the history of rock has tall grass been trampled so effectively.

Bad Guys remind me of early Clutch, check out the track 'Crime'. It's about stealing a tonka truck, think Rollins Band's 'Liar' but beefed up on steroids. Big sludgy Melvins-esque riffs, and I also detect hints of Motörhead, Red Fang and early Helmet. A riot from start to finish, they do not take themselves too seriously and this adds to charm of this record. Logen Ninefingers
